Our Assessment Service
The assessor appraises real property and maintains property record cards on all parcels in the township. The assessor sets property values in the township but does not levy taxes on those properties. Levies are made by the governing body of each unit of government, (cities, townships, school districts, etc.) and tax rates are determined by the clerk of each county subject to statutory rate limits.
